IAHR EGW Guidlines for course organizer
Title
The title should describe the content of the course.
Please characterize the type of course in the title with keywords
such as
- Training Course
- Short Course
- Internet Course
- Summer School
- Young Scientist Workshop
General course description
The general course description should include
- the name and institution of the course organizer
- the name and institution of the course lectures
- date and location of the course
- course fee (including the reduction for IAHR-EGW members/students of 50%)
- contact person, mailing address and email
- course homepage if available
- short content description
- target group (MSc. students, PhD. students,
professionals, ...)
Academic and
professional recognition
If available please describe
the given academic and professional recognition for your course at
your university and if available at other universities. Academic
recognition should be described by the type of examination, the
given credits (ECTS system) and the related course programme (such
as MSc. or Phd. programmes). Professional recognition can by
specified by the related national or international professional
organizations,
Course announcement
Please send your course announcement to the IAHR-EGW
secretariat (reinhard.hinkelmann@wahyd.tu-berlin.de or
frank@bauinf.tu-cottbus.de [1]) to be published on the Web page
and the IAHR-EGW course overview in the IAHR newsletter. Please
contact the http://www.iahr.org [2] newsletter to publish a
special course announcement in addition to the annual IAHR-EGW
course list.
Flyer submission
Leaflets of IAHR-EGW courses can be for advertising
together with the IAHR newsletter. Please send 1500 with the
reference to IAHR-EGW to the IAHR secretariat (http://www.iahr.org
[3]) as early as possible. Experiences from other courses let
recommend a submission 6-12 month before the course. Please check
the deadlines of the IAHR newsletter in advance. IAHR-EGW courses
should use the IAHR and the IAHR-EGW logos on the flyer and
should give a short link to the IAHR-EGW organization. Please
contact the IAHR-EGW secretariat for any kind of support. This
should be done as early as possible.
Course examination
Academic course should be
provide an examination for academic recognition based on the ECTS
system. Students should receive a certificate for the
successful course participation. The certificate should include
the logo/signatures of IAHR/EGW as well as of the course
organizers.
Evaluation
We hope you
will run your course successfully. Please use the IAHR-EGW
questionnaire (PDF [4],DOC [5]) for the evaluation of the
course and send them to the EGW secretariat. We welcome report of
the performed course by the organizers as well as by the
participants. Course reports will be published on the IAHR-EGW
homepage and in the IAHR newsletter.
