Model development and hydroinformatics

In the context of this research topic different modeling systems are developed or further developed. A focus of this work is the object-oriented HMS (Hydroinformatics Modeling System), a robust two-dimensional shallow water and transport model with various extensions. For complex multi-dimensional flow and transport processes the open source models TELEMAC-MASCARET and OpenFOAM are applied and extended. Further research work deals with the coupling of models, high performance computing and artifical neural networks.
